Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how vipdoor.org (“Vipdoor,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you read the site or write through the Contact form. Vipdoor is an editorial publication about architectural entryways, foyers, and doorways. The policy below is written for that kind of reading desk — not for a retail checkout or a membership app.

The publication this policy covers

Vipdoor publishes articles and pages at vipdoor.org. Visiting those pages, submitting the Contact form, or following links from Vipdoor into other sites are the main ways you may interact with us. We do not ask you to create an account to read.

Details you type into Contact

If you use the Contact form, you provide a name, email address, subject, and message. That content is used to understand and respond to your note — for example a correction to an article about foyer daylight, a question about a threshold detail, or a copyright concern. Do not include passwords, payment card numbers, or other secrets in the message field.

Verification before a message is accepted

The Contact form requires a typed human check before Send is available. The check is processed so automated submissions are harder. Temporary verification data is kept only long enough to complete or expire the check.

Technical records from hosting and delivery

Like most sites, vipdoor.org is served through hosting and network layers that may record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps. Those records support security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Vipdoor does not use them to build marketing profiles of readers of doorway articles.

Cookies on vipdoor.org

Cookies or similar storage may be used for essential session or security purposes, including Contact form verification. See the Cookie Privacy Policy for a closer reading of cookie use on this Site.

Reader comments are not invited on posts

Vipdoor does not offer a public comment desk on posts. If commentary fields appear through older platform defaults, they are not part of how we invite reader discussion; use Contact instead.

Fonts, embeds, and outbound links

Some pages may load fonts or other assets from third parties, or link out to references. Those parties have their own practices. Opening an external link leaves Vipdoor’s control.

How messages and technical data are used

We use Contact messages to reply, to correct articles when warranted, and to address rights requests. We use technical hosting data to keep the Site available and to investigate abuse. We do not sell reader lists.

When Vipdoor shares information

We may share information with service providers who host the Site or deliver email, only as needed to operate Vipdoor. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Site and its readers from harm. We do not sell personal information.

How long Vipdoor keeps records

Contact messages are kept as long as needed to complete a reply and maintain a responsible record of corrections or rights issues. Hosting logs follow the retention practices of the hosting and network providers. Verification challenges expire quickly by design.

How to ask about your Contact data

If you want to know what you sent us, ask for deletion of a Contact message where feasible, or raise another privacy question, write through the Contact page and describe the request clearly.

Care taken with messages and logs

We take reasonable administrative and technical steps appropriate to a small editorial site. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure; avoid sending highly sensitive personal data through the form.

Who this publication is written for

Vipdoor is written for a general audience interested in architecture at the entrance. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

When this Privacy Policy is updated

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site or the law changes. The updated page will show on vipdoor.org when published.
